Over 500 dead and still hundreds missing after the tragic flashfloods at Cagayan de Oro City last Friday night. Currently, Cagayan, Iligan and the nearby affected areas have no power and are suffering from water shortage. Year 2011 is already closing and this horrible tragedy caused a lot of our fellowmen to lose their families, friends and neighbors.

It was late at night when the tragedy happened and most of the dead were found in their pjs. This heart breaking news has shaken the Philippines once again, being among the deadliest cyclones that entered our country within the last 12 years.

Here’s whats currently needed:It doesn’t seem right for us, Christians, to just stand and watch. We know that during the last days, things such as this, will happen, and we can see it now, right before our eyes. This is the best time for us to spread the love that Jesus has for us and be His hands and feet to help our fellow filipinos. Here are a few ways for you to donate and help out:

• Body bags, coffins, formalin and embalmers
• Cash
• Bottled water
• Medicine
• Non-perishables: goods, blankets, sleeping mats, diaper, milk
• Clothes, underwear, slippers, towels

• Mobile load for volunteers
