The Bridge Of Life

“Everyone has sinned and is far away from God’s saving presence” (Romans 3:23)
“It is because of your sins that He doesn’t hear you. It is your sins that separate you from God when you try to worship Him.” (Isaiah 59:2)
“Everyone must die once, and after that be judged by God.” (Hebrews 9:27)
“For sin pays its wage-death.” (Romans 6:23)
“Whoever did not have his name written in the book of the living was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:15)
“But God has shown us how much He loves us-it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us!”. (Romans 5:8)
“Christ died for our sins, as written in the Scriptures; that He was buried and that He was raised to life three days later, as written in the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
“For there is one God, and there is One who brings God and mankind together, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5)
The bible says that man is made to live in friendship with God. Man has turned away from God, broken this friendship and lived his own way. The bible calls this SIN. Sin has separated man from God.
What will happen if we stay sinners?
God is holy and perfect. He must punish sin. God is also love and desires all men to be saved from this eternal punishment. How can God be holy and yet forgive sin?
Each person must decide whether to receive or reject Christ!
To receive Christ means:
- I agree with God that I am a sinner.
- I accept that Christ died for my sins and rose again to give me new life.
- I am willing to allow God to help me leave all my sins and stop living my life away from God.
You can receive Christ right now through prayer, which is talking with God.
If you have repented and given your life to Christ, the Bible says you have a new relationship with God. Read your bible to guide you in this new life.
“If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from death, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
“Some, however, did receive Him and believed in Him; so He gave them the right to become God’s children.” (John 1:12)
“For it is by God’s grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God’s gift, so no one can boast about it.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
“”Heavenly Father; I believe the Lord Jesus died on the cross in my place; taking the punishment for my sins. I agree with You that I am a sinner. Thank You for Jesus’ blood which takes away my sins. In faith I give my life to You to control, knowing You will change me. Thank You Father for hearing me and giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.””
