Inkheart – 2008

I really hate to tell the entire story, so I will just explain the general idea and what I really liked in this movie. First of all, the story is about Mortimer (Mo) Folchar (Brendan Fraser) a person that has the gift that when he reads aloud, it makes the characters from any book come to life. It is really nice, and another dream come true movie for me. He does not have any control of it.
He did not want anyone to know about this gift. He has a daughter and a wife, and the story all started when he was reading the book “inkheart” and the characters became real. Her daughter Meggie was still a baby that time. The enemies from the book came out, and the entire family is scared.
Mo accidentally reads his wife Resa into the book while he read some evil characters out of it. Nine years later Mo with his daughter and aunt Elionor tries to rescue Resa out of inkheart and to return awful creatures back on the book’s pages.
The story will show you how the entire family ended happily ever after even though the cruel characters from the book came to life. There even was a castle, all the inkheart enemies and some creatures from the books stayed there, and it was led by Capricorn. While in the journey of rescuing Resa, Mo and Meggie with their aunt met Dustfinger who came from the book but a good one. They also met Farid , one of the 40 thieves who had a crush on Meggie. Hehe….
The story ended when Meggie discovered that she also inherit the gift of her father. And while everything is in conflict, Capricorn captured Resa, and they had the “shadow” who is the ultimate enemy of the book came to life, Meggie wrote the ending of their story and read it aloud while her father and the others tried to rescue her mother. The Shadow perished, and even the author of the Inkheart book wished to be sent to his book and stay there forever. Meggie made the entire story in the end, and what’s amazing is it ended happily.
Dustfinger went back home to his family, one thing he really desired since the beginning. And Farid stayed in the real world so that he can see Meggie.
This movie is totally perfect for the entire family. It is a happy ending, no kid will cry, and it will show you the complete ending of the story. It was a clean family movie portraying family relationships and friendships in a very positive way. The ending is fantastic, good triumphs over evil. This movie showed that family and friendship are worth fighting for.
