Arrogance and Generosity

Jesus our loving savior taught us to be generous. He displayed an exemplary act of generosity wherein no one in the whole earth can ever outdo, the giving of His life as a ransom for all of us. That is why as Christians we all want to be like Him, to be generous in anyway we can. And to do it is one way of making our God happy, and we also feel happy because we know that we are not only doing a noble act but a holy one, a Godly act.
A Godly act is a holy act, holy means clean and pure. No hidden agenda. To be generous is a holy act of giving. And the lesson Jesus taught us…is giving and expecting no return.
We may expect no return of materials and favor but beware of the return of pride, it is invisible but it is poisonous and vile. Let us be sure that we love to give because we want to glorify our GOD not that we are glorifying ourselves. I may sound redundant, yes you are right, but this issue must be addressed because it never died, it had existed long ago and still existing cause satan is still here. That is why we have to ask ourselves… am I giving for the glory of my God or am I giving for the glory of me. We know that from the bottom of our heart, do not ignore it and hide it, REPENT from it. It is arrogance and pride. Remember it is satan’s character. If we re just giving and enjoying the sweet-bitter taste of pride, it is better not to give at all. That act of giving is just filth in the eyes of GOD.
